If you're looking for a value-packed shock absorber, either for racing or track day riding, choose our line of 2-way adjustable dampers. This line of low speed compression adjustable shocks shares many performance charasteristics with our 3-way dampers such as ride height adjustability and rebound adjustability that does not affect compression.

Like all Elka shocks, they are valved and sprung specifically for bike model, rider weight, linkage ratio and type of track. Assembled under tight tolerances, they resist fading by using high quality seals and wearband with a special blend of top grade oils. All these features work together to keep you glued to the track during those long races or track days that you enjoy.

High and low speed compression device
This device provides independent tuning adjustments for high and low speed compression allowing optimum high speed stability and traction during cornering.

The high speed adjustability is used for the fine-tuning of bump absorption, while the low speed adjustability provides squat and traction control during cornering and acceleration by keeping the contact patch of the tire on the track.

BMW Motorcycle Series

Our custom-built shock absorbers for BMW motorcycles greatly enhance the performance and comfort for all riding conditions while offering more versatility. They provide the hydraulic compression (optional high- and low-speed) and rebound damping adjustability at the front and rear that stock suspension lacks, thus allowing you to fine-tune the ride for road or off-road use.

A preload adjustment (optional hydraulic adjuster) also allows you to adjust ride height for single or two-up riding, with or without baggage. A rider-specific, dual-rate spring set-up provides the plushness and progression needed to improve the stock suspension on BMW Enduro motorcycles, reducing excessive front and back weight transfer (diving and squatting) under acceleration and braking, bottoming out on harsh impacts and front-end pushing when cornering.

The external reservoirs and high-quality internal components also ensure consistent damping over epic rides and for many miles to come. How to use the Adjustments

Threaded preload adjustment This adjustment is standard on all Elka Suspension shock absorbers. It provides ride-height adjustability and compensates for additional weight when charging. A special tool and 3mm Allen Key are provided. Use the Allen key to loosen the set-screw on the preload ring. Then use the tool to rotate the preload ring. When done, slightly tighten the set-screw again, being careful not to over-tighten it as this may damage the threads on the body.

Compression adjustment This adjustment adds more versatility and provides on-the-fly fine-tuning to suit your individual riding style. Turn it clockwise to increase hydraulic resistance and make the suspension harder, or counter-clockwise to reduce the resistance and make the suspension softer.

Rebound adjustment This adjustment provides proper traction by keeping the wheels on the ground. It is also needed when charging. The rebound adjustment controls how fast the wheels will come back to full extension after an impact. Turn it clockwise to slow down the rebound or counter-clockwise to speed it up.

High- and low-speed compression adjustment This device allows for independent adjustment of the shock absorber's high- and low-speed compression damping stages to deliver both optimum reactivity to small bumps and the right resistance for large impacts. The high-velocity damping for big hits, sharp edges and jumps can be fine-tuned independently from the low-velocity damping for turning, cornering and accelerating.
